First and foremost, I am a mom. My husband Joe and I have 5 children between us ~ Sue, Laura and Jessica are the older girls and I truly feel blessed they welcomed me into their lives as “step-mom” many years ago. We have 9 grandchildren ranging from 30 to 3 years old. Our son Christopher is married to Jessica and I could not have hand picked a better life partner for him, with the now newest grandchildren Ellie, Emma and Mia. And last but certainly not least, our daughter Niki, the beautiful baby of the family who wears the crown very well.
My husband and I have been married over 30 years. He is retired, an avid golfer and my best friend. Over the last several years he has introduced me to the game of golf. I am now encroaching on his “guy” time to join him on the golf course. His fault ~ he wanted me to learn and love the game, and I definitely am. Seriously though, I would not be who I am without his love, support and faithfulness of which I am eternally grateful.
I am retired from the University of Michigan/Mott Children’s Hospital as a Pediatric Respiratory Therapist. Most of my time was spent in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Those, tiny yet mighty, patients and their care were my passion. As part of the Survival Flight NICU team, I’ve transported patients via fixed wing jet, helicopter or ground ambulance. Most satisfying though is knowing that I was part of a truly amazing team of Doctors, Nurses, Techs and fellow Respiratory Therapists who do their best every day for the tiniest victors within our hospital. Go Blue!
Now that I’m retired my time is spent with our family, friends, golfing, reading, substitute teaching at the local Middle School & High School, traveling and making travel plans for future adventures. I’m looking forward to sharing bits and pieces of our escapades with you.
